Learn kid-friendly woodworking skills while creating a custom wooden plant stand to take home. In this hands-on class, young makers will learn how to safely use real hand tools while building a simple project from start to finish.
Day 1: Learn skills like measuring and marking, hammering nails, and following important safety rules while building a beautiful, custom plant stand.
Day 2: Continue to fine-tune woodworking skills from Day 1, learning how to sand surfaces smooth, mark and drill holes with hand drills, and assemble a wood slice keychain with cords and wooden beads.
What to Bring:
- Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting a little messy in – it’s all part of the fun!
- Bring your positive energy and a big smile – we’re ready to have a blast!
About the Instructor:
Tina Robinette is an experienced community crafter who has led creative workshops for adults and kiddos at The Shed. She also manages our community Makers' Market!
