Clubs and Groups
Crafternoon (4th Suns 2-4pm)
Crafternoon is a relaxed craft club on the fourth Sunday of each month for anyone who wants to make things and meet new people. This is an unstructured, bring-your-own-project kind of gathering or you can use some of our supplies. Drawing, knitting, collage, mending, writing, painting, and similar crafts are all welcome. There’s no class or instruction, just a comfortable space to work on something creative and connect with others. Come on your own or with friends!
Free to attend. Some Supplies are available. Optional donations help support the space.

If your child enjoys using their imagination and going on thrilling adventures, this is the perfect group for them! We promise a welcoming environment where everyone, regardless of their experience level, can come together to explore fantastic worlds and create unforgettable stories. In our sessions, participants will have the opportunity to roll dice, embark on quests, and make new friends, all while exercising their creativity in a safe and supportive setting. Bring your enthusiasm and let the adventure begin!
Parent or Guardian of younger kids are required to be present during the session for liability reasons, as we want to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. We encourage a collaborative spirit among all players, ensuring everyone feels included. Your involvement is invaluable, and together we can help foster the next generation of imaginative storytellers!

Resilience Club (2nd Thurs @ 6:30pm)
A Community Discussion Group
No Payment or registration required. Suggested donation between $5-40
Potluck will be from 6:30 - 7 pm
The resilience club is a community discussion group for El Sobrante and residents of Richmond, San Pablo and surrounding localities. We are here to discuss resilience not as a means only of survival, but as a way we can come to thrive in the places we inhabit.
The purpose of this meeting is not to virtue signal, pose as an expert or pretend we know what is ‘right.’ It is to discuss, as members of a community, what we think resilience means, how we can help each other achieve this and how we can turn preparedness into a better way of being in the world.
This gathering invites open, grounded conversation about what resilience can look like in our local context.
Topics may include:
Psychological resilience
Food systems and local food security
Shelter and housing
Materials (construction, textiles, food storage, tools)
Skills (building, farming, medicine, ecological stewardship, emergency response, critical thinking)
Personal wellness
Self-defense
Wildfire preparedness, natural disasters, and defensible space

¡Estaremos aquí cada cuarto miércoles, de 6:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m.!

Zine Making Club (3rd Thurs 6-8pm)
Come help us establish a local zine in El Sobrante. Be you writer, editor, photographer or artist; expert or beginner there is space for you. This paper publication will showcase local writers, artists, plants and El Sobrante news and events. It will follow the Resilience Club’s monthly theme and it will also become a mechanism to help fund Triangle Works' myriad projects.

Foraging Club (4th Thurs 6-8pm)
Foraging club will be a dedicated study group to learn about our native ecosystems and how to be a better steward to our local geographies. We will work together to harvest, process, cook and distribute foods harvested locally but we will also commit ourselves to actively tending the ecosystem and helping benefit native food systems for the next generations to come. That may look like harvesting non-native foods and medicines, it may look like organizing with local fire agencies to help with controlled burns. Together we will learn how to relate to the land we call home.
No experience or expertise necessary!

Resilience Book Club (1st Thurs 6-8pm)
Group study and book club for topics covered in Resilience Club. This is a chance to get more in depth information and participate in more focused discussion. Books read in this class will also help stimulate discussions in Resilience Club.

Neighbors and Novels Book Club (1st Tues 6-8pm)
Join us for Neighbors & Novels, a book club where community and conversation take center stage. Each month, we'll gather to dig into a shared read with thoughtful, engaging discussion — just genuine curiosity and good company. Can't find time to read? No problem — listen along on audiobook and join the conversation anyway. Best of all, you have a say in what we read next: members recommend and vote on upcoming picks, so this club grows and shifts with the people in the room. Come as you are, bring your perspective, and help build a community worth showing up for.

Writers Group (2nd Tues 6:30-8pm)
A generative writers group focused on writing in community.
Together we’ll write from guided prompts, explore short craft readings, and create space for sharing our work through listening, curiosity, and supportive reflection.
Whether you’re just a beginner or have been writing for years, you’re welcome.
