Beginning twined basketry with paper rush
Class description:
This class is beginning twining basketry and is perfect for the beginner first learning basketry. Twining is an ancient weaving technique where horizontal strands are twisted around vertical strands to build strong but pliable structures. Twining is one of the oldest foundational crafts of human civilization. We will be using a paper fiber rush that is ideal for beginning students – both children and adults. You will leave class with a finished basket and this is a great foundation for to weaving baskets in this twining style with reeds and natural materials.
